Waikato Horse Stud, Visitor Centre

Composed in a matching traditional rural design aesthetic to the adjacent large family home, this "visitor centre" includes exterior and interior dining and gathering/entertaining spaces, set beside adjacent media and related utility provision. Catering for intimate groups of ten up to two hundred, the exterior and interior entertaining spaces are sufficiently flexible to bring guest in and around landscaped gardens. Clad in black stained Cedar weatherboards and timber shingle roofing, this finely detailed composition separates the guests from the private home activities.
