Approaching the site through a mature land slope through a avenue of dense and aged trees, the visitor emerges onto an expansive one level, rural home, built for a large family. The traditional aesthetic styled country home, nestles into the surrounding landscape of dairy farming land, allowing it to make a formal gesture to some architectural solidity, with a series of perimeter colonnades supporting over scaled roof forms above. These overhangs, allow and encourage sheltered outdoor living, to take advantage of the surrounding rural panorama outlook. The kitchen, dining and living areas, dominate the central layout, with the distinct separation of the adult's bedroom from the four separate daughter's bedrooms. The interior is a neutral palette of finishes and materials, promoting the family's extensive art collection and key pieces of furniture and belongings, all giving the home the personality of its owners.
